The client
Branch designed and built a WebAR experience that brings the tree to life in 3D directly in a web browser. Users place the model in their own space at real-world scale and explore its design and features through an interface that needs no app install.
Solar Botanic Trees is a UK clean-technology company building next-generation solar energy systems inspired by nature. Its patented solar tree merges biomimicry, advanced photovoltaics and sculptural design into energy systems for modern cities and developments.
The challenge
A solar tree is a large physical object that most prospects will never stand next to. For brand storytelling and investor outreach, Solar Botanic Trees needed a way to show the design and the functionality at real scale, and to communicate the mix of sustainability, technology and architecture that a rendering flattens.
What we built
WebAR app
Launched from a QR code, opening with a one-page registration step that captures a name and email, then placing a detailed 3D model of the tree in the user’s own environment at real-world scale. Interactive points on the model open pop-ups covering each feature, including the integrated CCTV and traffic monitoring, and a preview video of the points in use.
