The client
Branch built the frontend and the backend for the browser-based experience and optimised the supplied 3D environments for web delivery. The supplied content, visuals, voiceovers and learning flow were connected into a working platform where a user picks an avatar, follows an NPC guide, moves through the island and completes structured learning activities, which turned an existing set of assets into something that runs.
The Coca-Cola Company built a digital masterclass to help its teams explore consumer need states, beverage categories and brand learning inside an interactive 3D environment. Escape Island is one of five training worlds, each with its own environment, content and beverage category focus.
The challenge
The client already had the Masters of Taste concept and its assets: content, visuals, voiceovers and 3D environments. What it did not have was a way to run any of it. The work was to make the learning journey reachable online, get environments built for offline rendering to perform in a browser, and join avatar selection, NPC guidance, pre-recorded host videos, learning stops and progress into one experience instead of a folder of parts.
What we built
Online 3D experience
A structured masterclass a user moves through step by step, exploring each concept in place and building toward a final team challenge. The framework is presented as a practical lens on category roles and brand positioning rather than as static theory.
3D island exploration
The island is the navigation. Users move through the environment, follow the NPC guide and visit learning stops along the beach, each stop opening a new area of the five-part journey so the experience has a sense of progression rather than a menu.
Avatar selection and personal entry point
A user picks an avatar before entering the island, which becomes their entry point into the environment and makes the masterclass read as a journey rather than a linear presentation.
Frontend, backend and web optimisation
Branch built both ends of the platform and cut the supplied environments down to something a browser can deliver at frame rate without an install or a download.
