The Client
Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA) leads the development of community sports in Saudi Arabia, driving the Vision 2030 goal of increasing physical activity. Their mission spans mental and physical wellness, sustainability, community empowerment, and global recognition.
Problem Statement
SFA needed digital engagement tools to excite, inform, and unite runners and supporters ahead of the Riyadh Marathon 2025 including those not attending — while ensuring accessibility in both English and Arabic.
Branch Solution
Branch delivered custom-built microsites to boost participation and engagement before the event, including a web app where users could take a selfie, customize their details, and generate an avatar using AI face swap. They also created a WebAR invitation that launched a 3D animation of the marathon route and guided users to sign up, along with an API to integrate Ventuz app data into online webpages.
Results
The project delivered a bilingual, high-quality interactive journey that fostered a sense of inclusion and community for both runners and non-runners. The AI selfie feature generated strong social media sharing, while the WebAR invitation’s animated model and responsive performance enhanced visual impact and boosted sign-ups.
Technology
Branch used 8th Wall, Akool AI, Vercel, Next.js, MongoDB, AWS S3, Figma, and Rive for the project.
